About Me

I have been working in the film industry for over 20 years – and I love it

Beginning at the bottom as a keen twenty something in a Film Production Company in London, I moved up through the ranks of Production there and at various other West End based companies, to become a Producer. Working on major TV advertising campaigns including well renowned, award winning commercials, travelling and filming with UK and local crews in many different countries throughout the world with different directors, agencies and clients.

I then embraced the world of the Music Video – and have enjoyed many years working with and Producing for several mainstream Directors over countless music videos and music based projects. Working together with an incredible number of talented artists, bands and crew lucy_bioIn 1995 I did a business plan and gained a grant from The Princes Trust which enabled me to start my own Production Company – Nolan Boulter Films London. Together with a Director of Photography – Andrew Boulter – with whom I was working at the time, we had a successful company in London’s West End and we worked on a wide and various number of projects including unending fabulous music videos for Record Companies and MTV, Corporate and Marketing programmes, A Dance project for the BBC, PR Projects for well known Retail companies including Thorn EMI and Marks & Spencer, a pitch for the Millennium Dome, and we travelled all over the world filming with different crews and clients on countless exciting jobs. I dissolved the company and became Freelance upon the birth of my first child.

As a freelance Producer/Director I have worked on many different projects including a huge variety of music videos, classical music videos, a DVD which I created from scratch, wrote and directed to promote social and educational skills for children learning through music, a series of short programmes which I wrote and filmed to promote poetry and prose to the masses. I even created the largest video wall in Europe at the time of it’s opening for the launch of the newly rebuilt Trocadero Center in London. I have enjoyed working on a number of charity projects including several for the BBC’s Children in Need Appeal, Comic Relief and The MCC Lord’s Taverners to name a few.

Recently I have made several video web clips for websites in order to promote individuals, their products or simply provide a forum for easily accessible information. “For me each job is a challenge, each client a new person to engage with and every day a new view on a different artist, band, song, product, idea, commercial or simply conversation about up and coming possibilities – which provides me with unending new thrills, exciting prospects of gathering teams of geniuses and chances to work with yet more talented and creative people that fill up this industry to the brim” smash-management-logo
